I build products,not just features.

Mohit Giri - a Software Development Engineer (SDE) building full-stack products, SaaS platforms, and developer tools. I care about good architecture, thoughtful systems, and shipping things that actually work.

UniCore

saas Β· erp

A multi-institution ERP platform built for educational institutions to manage students, faculty, academics, attendance, examinations, and day-to-day administration from one system.

Source CodeLive Demo
/ The Challenge & Problem
  • Educational workflows are often scattered across spreadsheets, disconnected tools, and manual processes.
  • Institutions need to manage large amounts of academic data while keeping each institution's data completely isolated.
  • Administrative tasks such as attendance, timetables, examinations, and notices become difficult to coordinate as institutions grow.
/ Core Engineering Highlights
  • Multi-tenant architecture with isolated PostgreSQL schemas for each institution
  • Academic workflows covering students, faculty, attendance, examinations, results, notices, and timetables
  • Blockchain-backed certificate verification using the Polygon network
Stack:Next.jsTypeScriptPostgreSQLPrismaDockerPolygon

nThreads

platform Β· community

A community discussion platform designed around deep conversations, nested replies, user profiles, media sharing, and real-time activity.

Source CodeLive Demo
/ The Challenge & Problem
  • Traditional discussion platforms become difficult to navigate when conversations grow into deeply nested comment chains.
  • Community products need responsive interactions without constantly waiting for server updates.
  • Managing authentication, profiles, media, and notifications together adds significant complexity to a social platform.
/ Core Engineering Highlights
  • Deeply nested discussion threads with optimistic UI updates
  • Authentication, customizable profiles, user search, and community interactions
  • Real-time activity notifications and media upload workflow
Stack:Next.jsClerkMongoDBUploadThingTailwind CSS

Seck

security Β· desktop

A Windows desktop security application built with WPF and .NET for monitoring, locking, and controlling applications running on a system.

Source Code
/ The Challenge & Problem
  • Users have limited control over which applications can run on a Windows machine, especially when a system needs tighter application restrictions.
  • Monitoring running applications manually is inconvenient and makes it difficult to quickly identify or control unwanted processes.
  • Application-level restrictions can be useful on shared or controlled systems where certain software should be blocked or locked down.
/ Core Engineering Highlights
  • Real-time monitoring of running Windows applications
  • Application locking and access control from a central desktop interface
  • Native WPF and .NET implementation designed specifically for Windows
Stack:C#.NETWPFWindows

DarkOPS

ai Β· browser ext

A browser security extension that helps shoppers spot deceptive interfaces, suspicious review patterns, and other dark patterns while browsing e-commerce websites.

Source Code
/ The Challenge & Problem
  • Online stores can use fake urgency, misleading interfaces, and other dark patterns to push users toward decisions they might not otherwise make.
  • Fake or AI-generated reviews can make unreliable products appear more trustworthy.
  • Most users have no practical way to inspect what is happening behind an e-commerce page while they are browsing it.
/ Core Engineering Highlights
  • RoBERTa-based classifier for detecting suspicious and potentially generated reviews
  • Automated DOM analysis for identifying dark patterns and deceptive urgency elements
  • Real-time warnings displayed directly inside the shopping experience
Stack:RoBERTaPythonFlaskSeleniumChrome Extension

Ballotic

security Β· voting

A secure election management platform for running digital elections with voter verification, administrative controls, candidate management, and transparent result tracking.

Source Code
/ The Challenge & Problem
  • Online voting systems need strong safeguards against voter impersonation and unauthorized access.
  • Election administrators need reliable controls for managing candidates, voters, and election configuration.
  • Without proper auditability, it becomes difficult to understand how an election progressed or verify its results.
/ Core Engineering Highlights
  • OTP-based voter verification and authentication
  • Role-based access control for election administration
  • Transactional vote handling with live result tracking

/about

Software engineer who likes building things end-to-end.

I'm Mohit - a Software Development Engineer who learns by building complex software and taking it all the way from an idea to a working product. I've worked on multi-tenant SaaS systems, ML-powered tools, desktop applications, and full-stack platforms.

I care about more than making things work. I enjoy thinking through architecture, database design, multi-tenancy, APIs, edge cases, performance, and the engineering decisions that make software reliable as it grows.

Most of my strongest skills have come from building things that were slightly beyond what I already knew β€” and figuring out the rest along the way.

The uncomfortable parts of designing for isolation

Why data isolation is more than a database constraint, and how architectural decisions start changing once multiple organizations share the same system.

When a model looks good on paper

Learning to explain things without hiding behind jargon

Teaching beginners made me realize that understanding a concept and being able to explain it are two very different skills.

Going below the application layer

Working closer to the operating system was a different kind of engineering problem, where understanding the platform mattered as much as writing the code.
